When the Mataatua canoe arrived in the Bay of Plenty, the voyagers found three tribes already living there – Ngā Pōtiki, Te Tini o Toi and Te Hapū-oneone. The Mataatua sailed north with most of the crew, leaving only the captain, Toroa, and his family. They intermarried with the original people and over time the Tūhoe people emerged.
The tribe take their name from Tūhoe-pōtiki (or Tūhoe), a great-grandson of Toroa. He and his brothers fought over the land and resources; Tūhoe won. He settled and eventually died at Kāwhia on the North Island’s west coast, but his descendants remained on the land in Te Urewera.
The Maori are believed to be the indigenous people of New Zealand, immigrating here from Polynesia on canoes many years ago. This event was known as the "Great Fleet". These polynesian people settled New Zealand and became known as the Maori. They formed their own unique culture, language and traditions.
In my conclusion my name is kyara, i go to Rangikura school, my favourite things to do are sport, eating, singing and sleeping and my culture is maori.
Hope you like it.

Waikanae Pools
last week it was amazing because we had a lot of fun and the whole school went to waikanae pools yesterday, we did a lot of things like had lunch and what we had for lunch was sausages and your own lunch. Me and my sister Alizay were playing around and doing random things, like playing tag and tackling each other. We also played volleyball with mr to'omaga.
Going down the slide.
I went down the slide 5 times and it took a long time, the first time i went down, i went down with Faith and Alizay went down with Motiki, once when we saw the light motiki jumped up and ran down the slide instead of sliding down the slide with Alizay and that's when me, Faith and Alizay smashed into each other. Then i tried the rocket and i nearly made it but someone kept on pushing the balloon.
This is when we were arbex its when you dance, while you're dancing there is also fitness actions. It was fun.

Comment On Rimu Team in http://rimubayfield.blogspot.co.nz/2016/10/video-comprehension-and-themes-reading.html#comment-form
Hi my name is Kyara and I am going to answer these good questions.
Glued - Questions:
1) What makes the mother initially go and turn the boys video games off?
His Mother got really annoyed of watching the video games being on all day long.
2) What do you think are some of the messages or themes in this video?
I learnt not to play on my video games too long because it ruins your eyes and you might need glasses.
3) Why do you think the director of the movie decided to call it "Glued"?
Because people are glued to their video games while they are sitting on the couch or bed.
4) Do you think that children spend too much time on devices in their spare time? Give reasons why you think this!
Yes, but the thing is they need to learn how to play outside with their friends and other around their neighbourhood.
5) What was the boy's problem at the end of the movie?
Please Watch The Video First.
